Note: All genes in MethyCancer were grouped into three categories with estimates of confidence of their relationship with cancer: 1) annotated cancer gene, 2) candidate cancer gene, and 3) other gene. The category is not static but rather is updated regularly as needed.

1) Annotated cancer genes were categorized following the effort of editors of AGCOH and CGP Cancer Gene Census, by comprehensive manual review to an extent.
2) Candidate cancer genes are genes possibly implicated in cancer, but have not undergone comprehensive review yet.
3) Other genes are genes that have not been found any clues relating to cancer by our effort until now.

'Methy&Cancer' is a special module dedicated to study the relationship amongst DNA methylation, gene and cancer. Users can query the interconnections between the three data types and study the methylation status of certain cancer genes in a specific tissue.
